Pleasantville softball falls to Twin Cedars

Twin Cedars took part in a triangular at North Mahaska on Saturday, June 20.

In the first game, the Sabers took one from Pleasantville, 5-3. Grace Bailey went the distance in the circle, and walked off with the victory on a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. She struck out five, walked five and gave up seven hits to the Trojans.

Ali Mockenhaupt had three hits and Caitlyn Reed had two.

For Pleasantville, Josie Sowers drove in two runs on three hits – including a double. Mallory McKinney and Riley Thill each had two hits.

In game two for the Sabers, they knocked off the hosts, 9-1. Reed hit her second home run of the year as Mockenhaupt earned the W in the circle. Chloe Swank and Kisha Reed each had two hits for the Sabers.
