A collision Saturday morning, June 20, at around 10:30 a.m. left a vehicle on its side, but no injuries.

Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller reports that the vehicle on its side was traveling north in the 100 block of South Kent Street when the right front side of the vehicle struck the left rear of a legally parked vehicle. This caused it to turn onto its left side.

“There were no injuries,” Fuller said. “The driver of the overturned vehicle was a mail carrier who looked away from the road to check their route. The driver received a citation for failure to maintain control.” The driver was identified as Jennifer Kirkpatrick.
