In the wake of changes to the way education is delivered within the Pella Community School District, a technology coordinator position was created for Madison Elementary. Jordan Scull will fill that post.
Scull will teach teachers how to best utilize technology and keyboarding to students in grades K-3. She already has ties to the community, as her husband is employed at Vermeer. With a two-year-old and a one-year-old, both like the quality of the school district.
Originally from Grundy Center, Scull earned her degree from Iowa State University. She has worked at East Marshall Middle School, teaching social studies and providing technological support for the building. She managed the school’s state testing, its 1:1 program and keyboarding instruction.
Scull was inspired to become a teacher because she loves to help others and make them more self-sufficient. She wants her students to learn the material so they can become strong members of the community.
In her spare time, she enjoys trout fishing, hunting, camping and reading.
