Indians stifle the Eagles

The Pella Christian varsity baseball team struggled in its first outing of the season, as the Oskaloosa Indians defeated them 8-3 in Oskaloosa.

The Indians jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first. They had tacked on three more runs before the Eagles were able to cross the plate in the sixth.

Dan Jungling, Eric Mulder and Luke Mulder were the three Eagles who were able to score. The Eagles had four hits in the game, with Luke Mulder getting half of them. Jungling added a single and Blake Veenstra had a triple.

The Eagles are now set to take on the Little Dutch at the Pella Community High field on Wednesday, June 17.
