Bulldogs no-hit Trojans


It was a defensive contest between the Pleasantville Trojan and Van Meter Bulldog baseball teams, as there were only three hits in the game. Van Meter came out on top by a score of 6-1.

Three Trojan pitchers hit four batters and walked six to provide the Bulldogs with base runners. Van Meter was able to score its runs in the first four innings.

Wyatt Clark scored the lone run for the Trojans in the fourth after being walked. Jake De Joode was credited with an RBI, but not a hit. Trojan batters struck out 16 times and walked six.

The Trojans are headed to Sigourney tonight (June 16) and then Knoxville Wednesday, June 17.
