The Republican and Democratic Parties will hold their 2020 primary election tomorrow (Tuesday, June 2). For a number of Marion County voters, going to the polls may not be necessary.
As of May 30, Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia had received 5,390 ballot requests for the primary. The increase in requests is likely due to COVID-19, as there will be fewer poll sites for this election. Secretary of State Paul Pate also chose to send absentee ballot requests to every registered voter for the primary.
