Racing facilities around Iowa can once again welcome fans as of June 1, Gov. Kim Reynolds announced at the Monday, May 26, COVID-19 press conference.
Knoxville Raceway has already had to cancel events since the originally-planned opening date in mid-April. A World of Outlaws event has been held at the track, but with the only fan access through television pay-per-view.
The Governor opened tracks to 50 percent capacity with the usual caveats aimed at slowing the spread of the virus. Casinos and other facilities may open June 1 as well.
