Knoxville Library Board working on reopening plan

(from the Knoxville Public Library)
The Library Board met on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 to discuss the re-opening of the library following Governor Reynolds’ proclamation on Monday allowing establishments in 77 counties to reopen on a limited basis with public health measures in place. A library may reopen provided it limits the number of patrons present in the building to 50% of the maximum legal occupancy and must implement reasonable measures to ensure social distancing of employees and patrons, as well as increased hygiene practices.

The Board is working on a plan to be released in the next few weeks. In the meantime, the library is offering curbside pick-up for patrons. Patrons can call, email, or go on-line to put holds on materials. Staff will check them out to the patron for pick up at an assigned timeslot. The service runs on the weekdays between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Many on-line resources are also available on the library’s website: These include free movie streaming, music downloads, e-books and audiobooks. Call 641-828-0585 or email for more information.
