Knoxville Schools intend to continue to provide voluntary online learning opportunities for students. Questions remain regarding when staff will return to work at each building. One thing Superintendent Cassi Pearson wants staff to know is that their jobs and pay are safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Knoxville has continued to expand its online learning hub. Pearson says everything is working well. Work is also being done to provide community Internet “hot spots” for students who have no home access to the Web.

Meanwhile, staff is also working on the best way to calculate grades and prepare transcripts for second semester classes. Staff is also trying to consider when to start the 2020-21 school year.
