Senior Athlete Spotlight: Pella Girls’ Soccer

The Pella High Lady Dutch varsity girls’ soccer team graduates three seniors this year – all of whom have played varsity throughout high school. They include Ellie Howard, Sarah Semini and Hailey Kowzan.

These three have played on soccer teams that amassed a three-season record of 45-8. The team reached the state tournament in the girls’ sophomore and junior years. They finished in the top four at the 2018 State Tournament.

Ellie was named Second Team All Little Hawekeye Conference last year and starting center midfielder her sophomore, junior and this season. Last year, she scored six goals and had three assists.

Hailey is a three-year varsity starter, who will go on to play soccer at Simpson College. She scored seven goals and had seven assists wile playing outside mid last year.

Last but not least, is Sarah, who scored a goal and had four assists last season with the Dutch. Congratulations to all of these seniors for a job well done in representing Pella High School!
