Senior Athlete Spotlight: Knoxville Boys’ Track

Marion County Tribune logo

As reported, the high school spring athletic season, and all other school activities, have been canceled by Gov. Kim Reynolds.

The Tribune put out the invitation to coaches to spotlight the seniors who would have competed in their final seasons this spring. The first coach to send information was Knoxville boys’ track head coach, Eric Kellar. Here is what Kellar has to say about his senior track athletes:

“Jordan Bacon really had a breakthrough season last year, especially winning the 800 meters at conference. He has been training so hard since November, and I feel like he would have had an outstanding season this year with a great shot to qualify for state. Colton Jones, Carter Bailey, Milo Johnston, and Landon Dursky have been very dedicated to our program and have given Coach Hudson and me their very best efforts. Landon was our best hurdler, Milo improved every year in the shot put, and Carter and Colton were solid on our sprint relays. I think a couple of them would have had a shot at being on a relay that could have have qualified for state this year. We thank them all for their dedication and wish them well in the future.”
