The Marion County Tribune reached out to learn more about the food program offered to Knoxville students during the district’s closure until April 13.
Business Manager Craig Mobley reports that the district is waiting on a response from the Department of Education regarding assistance with this. The district plans to start its food program next week.
“At this point in time we are waiting to hear back from the Iowa Department of Education,” Mobley said. “They literally received between 150-200 requests in just a few days and they have to review each individual request. We are waiting on that process.”
