Boys’ and girls’ bowling teams from Knoxville, Pella and Pella Christian took part in the Two Rivers Conference Bowling Tournament Saturday, Feb. 15, in Norwalk.
In the girls’ team competition, Knoxville finished fifth with Pella and Pella Christian finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. Knoxville boys also finished fifth, with the Pella Christian boys finishing sixth and the Pella boys finishing seventh. Newton won the girls’ competition and Bondurant-Farrar won the boys’.
The Knoxville girls bowled 2,004 as a team. Lily Cieslak bowled a 310 and Hayden Wadle scored a 307 to lead the team. The two finished sixth and seventh among top individual performers at the tournament.
The Knoxville boys bowled 2,692 as a team. Blaise Hubler bowled a 406 and Donovan Binns bowled 393 for the Panthers. Hubler and Binns placed fifth and tenth, respectively, among top individual performers at the tournament.
The Pella Christian girls bowled a 1,734 and the boys bowled a 2,549. Alayna VanKooten and Lexie Matherly were the top performers for the girls, with 241 and 234, respectively.
The boys’ top bowler on the day was Cameron VanderWal with 368, followed by Kenyon Geetings with 363.
The Pella girls’ team bowled 1,815 and the boys bowled 2,456. Agata Tomczyk topped the Lady Dutch with 269, followed by Courtney Duinink with 260.
For the boys, Travis Ware’s 375 was good enough to earn him 13th place among top individual performers. Reid Miller bowled 360 and Matt De Jong bowled 355 as the top performers for the Dutch.
