The Pella High Little Dutch boys’ basketball team is going into a tough game Friday, Feb. 14, at Grinnell after a 71-66 loss to Dallas Center-Grimes.
The Mustangs’ defense stifled Pella scorers in the first quarter, holding the Dutch to just six points while scoring 15. Pella rebounded with over 20 points in the next two quarters, but a strong fourth-quarter finish allowed the Mustangs to take the game.
Indianola and Norwalk are tied for first place in the Little Hawkeye Conference at 15-3. The Dutch and Mustangs are tied for third at 14-5 apiece.
Logan Shetterly led the way for the Dutch in the DC-G game with 26 points, a rebound, two assists and two steals. Treyton Sturgeon had 15 points, six rebounds, a steal and an assist.
