West Central bests Trojan girls


The Pleasantville girls’ varsity basketball team fought hard, but fell short against West Central Valley on Jan. 30. The Trojans lost 48-43 after falling behind 25-16 in the first half. Pleasantville’s offense got moving in the second, but it was not quite enough.

Malorie McKinney had 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and three blocks to lead the Trojans. Faith Vanderhart had 10 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.

Rachel Harvey had seven steals, five assists and six points; Josie Hutchings had nine points, two rebounds and two assists.
