The Knoxville Panther boys’ and girls’ varsity bowling teams topped the Pella Christian Eagle teams Saturday at Mustang Lanes in Monroe.
“The PC boys hung with them through round 1 and only trailed by 62 going into round 2,” Eagle Coach Rod Blunck said. “The baker games got the best of us though. The girls, I believe, were pretty consistent throughout the match, but Knoxville took that match too.”
“The (Knoxville) boys pulled off a big victory today shooting their second consecutive match over 2,800 with a 2,810 to PC’s 2,512,” Knoxville Head Coach Shaun Renard said.
The Knoxville boys were led by Keagan McCarty with a high series of 462 and a high game of 256. The PC boys were led by Devin Haveman and Blake Veenstra, both posting the same round 1 score of 370. They were followed by Austin VanKooten with a round 1 score of 347.
The Knoxville girls also pulled off a win shooting 2,002 to PC’s 1,620. The Lady Panthers were led by Lily Cieslak shooting a high series of 319 and a high game of 168.
The Pella Christian girls were led by Cheyanne Collins with a score of 253, then Alexa Klaasen at 238 and Aundrea Steen at 215.
