The community is invited to a special Town Talk event on Wednesday, January 29, at 5 p.m. at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center to learn more about the Knoxville Schools Facilities Project that is coming up for a bond vote on March 3. The event, sponsored by THRIVE Knoxville, will give individuals the opportunity to hear more about what impact the project will have on the community as well as learn more about the scope of the project and why it’s important. There will also be a community discussion about the project.

In March, the community will be voting on a General Obligation Bond to finance a new middle school and renovations at the high school and Northstar Elementary. Knoxville Schools Superintendent Cassi Pearson invites residents to come to the Town Talk hosted by THRIVE Knoxville. Members of the facilities task force will share information and answer audience questions.

“Our goal for this event is to make sure voters are fully informed on the scope of the project before they head to the polls in March. We appreciate THRIVE Knoxville creating Town Talks, and the Knoxville Community School District is honored to be their first presentation,” said Pearson.

THRIVE Knoxville Purpose: To intentionally promote and reinforce positive actions that will help Knoxville be a growing, thriving community.
