Marion County Secondary Road Department workers put in 574 hours dealing with the winter storm between Jan. 17-19.
County Engineer Tyler Christian reports that overtime hours totaled 484. If every worker chose to take overtime pay, as opposed to compensatory time, it would have cost $17,521. Christian says most workers did not take the overtime pay.
The County went through 406 tons of salt/sand mix at a cost of $13,028.54.
