Panther girls beat Van Meter

The Knoxville High varsity girls’ basketball team traveled to Van Meter Tuesday night and came back with a 63-56 victory.

The Panthers were up 26-17 at halftime. Van Meter stepped up their offense in the second half with 39 points scored. However, Knoxville added on another 37 to their lead to get the win.

Katie Keitges led the Panthers with 29 points, followed by Maggie Wilkins with 24. Tara Uitermarkt and Emma Dunkin each had five.

Knoxville next hosts Oskaloosa Saturday afternoon, Dec. 7, with JV1 playing at 2 and varsity at 3:30 p.m.
