The Pella Public Library is continuing its Culture Night Series on Monday, December 9 with a program about the island country of Madagascar presented by Jacque Delhove. Located about 250 miles off the coast of east Africa, it is the second largest island county in the world, and over 90% of its wildlife, including 103 types of lemurs, is found nowhere else on earth.
Besides giving an overview of the country, Jacques will introduce us to one of his favorite places – the beautiful coastal city of Mahajanga – which has a rustic feel, and incredible beaches with sand that naturally occurs in brilliant colors.
Culture Night: Madagascar will take place on December 9th at 7 p.m. in Room 206 of the Pella Community Center at 712 Union St. This program is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome, but it’s recommended for those Kindergarten age and above. Please call the library at 641-628-4268 if you have questions about this or other upcoming library events.
