The field of candidates for Knoxville City Council became smaller last night, as Scott Ziller has removed his name from contention.

“I have withdrawn my name from candidacy due to potential conflicts to business-related circumstances,” Ziller told the Tribune. “There’s a great slate of people running and I wish them all the best of luck and encourage everyone to get out and vote November 5.”

Remaining candidates include Jerrold Jordan, Mike Conner, Jr., John Gotta, Jyl DeJong and Justin Plum.
