The Knoxville Lions Club is pledging $50,000 to the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Foundation (KHC).

For 100 years, the Lions Club International “We serve” motto has guided the organization’s mission – particularly in its focus areas of improving the lives of the visually impaired, hearing impaired and diabetics.

According to Bob Augustin, a 20-year member of the Knoxville Lions Club, the chapter is pledging its commitment to KHC because of the important role the hospital plays in providing quality health care service to the community, especially in the Lions Club’s focus areas.

“This commitment is something that will benefit the entire community of Knoxville for years to come,” says Augustin. “We are proud of our community, and we hope our financial gift inspires other organizations and individuals to give back to our community to make Knoxville an even more vibrant place to live.”

According to Kevin Kincaid, KHC CEO, “We are extremely grateful to the members of the Lions Club for their generosity. The group has always demonstrated their commitment to our community through their service projects and other ways they give. This is just another incredible example of their servant-hearted mission of giving back.”
