Last season, the Pella High Little Dutch lost to the Oskaloosa Indians by one point. Pella looks to avenge that loss at home Friday night, Oct. 11.
The Dutch and the Indians come into the game undefeated in district play. Pella is coming off a 63-12 win over South Tama, while the Indians bested Newton last week, 28-21.
The Dutch hold the edge on offense, coming into the game with 2,246 versus Oskaloosa’s 1,791. Pella has also outscored Oskaloosa this season, 215-155.
“We feel good about where our team is at right now,” Head Coach Jay McKinstrey said. “We are trying to improve each and every week. Oskaloosa has a good football team and we anticipate a good game on Friday night.”
This will also serve as senior night for the Dutch, as the last two regular season games will be on the road at Newton (10/18) and Grinnell (10/25).
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
