Trojan volleyball outlasts Ogden

The Pleasantville Trojan volleyball team improved to 12-3 this week, with a big win over Ogden Tuesday night.

The Trojans won the game in four sets, 25-15, 25-17 and 25-15. Ogden was able to take the third set 25-20.

“I am very happy with how we battled throughout the game,” Head Coach Joel Allman said. “I felt we didn’t let the ball hit the floor and we passed the ball pretty well. That allowed our hitters to get good swings off of Adi’s (Adreon) sets.”

Adreon was 16/19 serving with three aces, two blocks, nine digs, 27 assists and two kills. Sam Entinger was 20/21 with seven aces and 20 kills. Breanna Benge was 18/20 serving with six aces and 29 digs. Amber McKinney had 23 digs and two aces, and Noa Sample had two aces.

The Trojans are in fourth place in the West Central Athletic Conference, which has some really tough competition. Pleasantville leads the conference in aces, with 174 – averaging 4.35 aces per set. The second-place team has only 126.

Pleasantville will host Van Meter Tuesday night, Oct. 1.
