PCM outlasts Eagles

The PCM Mustangs came back to defeat the Pella Christian Eagles Friday night 20-19.

The Eagles had an early lead, but could not hold on. Quarterback Dan Jungling threw for two touchdowns and 94 yards. Jungling ran for another 66 and a third PC touchdown. Jack Vermeer and Keean Cadwell each had a touchdown reception. Cody Boender rushed for 94 yards for the Eagles.

PC’s defense had three turnovers, with Drew Gettings collecting an interception and a fumble recovery. Caden Van Dyk had an interception which he returned for 21 yards.

Luke Mulder an David Willis each had 11 total tackles for the Eagles. Boender had nine and the Eagles’ only sack. Jungling had eight tackles of his own.

The Eagles are on the road again this Friday, Sept. 27, to Woodward Academy.
