Four races in Pella’s city election

Several candidates have filed to serve on Pella’s next city council.

Current Mayor Jim Mueller chose not to seek reelection. Longtime council member Bruce Schiebout and Donald DeWaard have filed paperwork to succeed him.

Tony Bokhoven is seeking reelection to the at-large council seat. He is being challenged by Chris Meyers and Liz Sporrer.

In Ward Two, there are four candidates – including two current council members. Harold Van Stryland and Robin Pfalzgraf have filed, along with newcomers Nicolle Picray and Calvin Bandstra.

David Hopkins and William Harkins have filed to fill the seat to serve Ward 1.
