The Pleasantville Trojan varsity football team is 2-1 on the season, following a rough 48-12 home loss to Earlham on Friday, Sept. 13.
Caylor Clark threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns on the night. Bristol Huyck and Hunter Oliva were the receivers on those touchdowns. Oliva had 44 receiving yards and Huyck 40.
Cale Anthony, who went into the game as the state’s rushing leader, gained 40 yards on the ground Friday night. He has fallen to fourth in the state in rushing yards with 636, though he has at least 30 fewer attempts than those in the top three. Anthony also led the defense with 8.5 tackles, including two for a loss.
Isaac Mann had 30 yards on the ground. On defense, he had three tackles for a loss and 4.5 total tackles.
Wyatt Clark also had 8.5 tackles, including one for a loss. Brady Wiseman had the Trojans’ only sack in the game.
Anthony, Wiseman, Caylor Clark and Alex Sampson each had a fumble recovery.
The Trojans host 0-3 Albia Friday night.
