Pleasantville baseball ends season at 18-17


A strong Pleasantville Trojan baseball season came to an end Tuesday night in the second round of district play, as Woodward-Granger won 10-5.

Cael Lester went 2-for-2 for the Trojans and scored two of the team’s runs. Starting pitcher Quinton Berglund hit a double and eventually scored to help his own cause. Kaydin Dyer, Aaron Wilkins and Grant Fouch also scored hits in the game. Fouch made it across the plate, as did Max Hinners who was walked.

Berglund struck out three, walked two and gave up six hits in 4 2/3 innings’ work.

On the season, the Trojans scored 268 runs, 266 hits and finished with an average of .279.
