Pleasantville boys down Woodward Academy


The 7-9 Pleasantville Trojan baseball team is coming off a big double header sweep over Woodward Academy, in which the boys won 13-0 and 16-0.

In game one, sophomore Aaron Wilkins struck out seven and gave up just one hit on the mound.

At the plate, the team combined for 10 hits, including two doubles. Grant Fouch had three hits, a double, two RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases to lead the team. Wyatt Clark scored four runs and Triston Mount went 2-for-2 with three runs scored, a double and an RBI.

In game two, freshman Jake DeJoode pitched a no-hitter in four innings, with seven strikeouts.

The run support DeJoode received at the plate included 11 hits. Teron Mount went 3-for-4, scoring two runs and hitting two RBIs. Kaydin Dyer had 4 RBIs on two hits, and Max Hinners drove in two on two hits. Cael Lester crossed the plate three times.

The Trojans are at home against ACGC tonight (June 13) for another double header.
