Pleasantville baseball at 1-3

The Pleasantville Trojan baseball team is at 1-3 on the season thus far. Following the season-opening loss to Pella Christian, the Trojans hosted a slugfest with PCM that resulted in a 19-12 loss before splitting a doubleheader at Panorama, winning 6-5 and losing 4-0.

In the win at Panorama, Cael Lester and Quintin Berglund each collected a double. Berglund also picked up the win on the mound and struck out five in the outing.

Wyatt Clark is leading the team with a .333 batting average, among players who have appeared in all four games. He has four hits and two RBI. Grant Fouch has been perfect on the base path, with four stolen bases in as many attempts.

Like every other team in the area, the Trojans have struggled to get their games played in between the rainfall. This includes an intra-county matchup with Melcher-Dallas that was scheduled for Wednesday. The Trojans are scheduled to travel to ADM on Saturday.
