Cassandra Whitlow said goodbye to Twin Cedars High School last week, but not before leaving an impact on the school’s performing arts program.
Dan Ginger, TC’s Speech and Drama sponsor, worked with Whitlow for three years. In her senior year, she held the lead in the school’s production of “12 Angry Jurors” as Juror #8.
Prior to that, in the fall, she was part of the team’s large group and improve competition.
During the Bluegrass Conference Speech competition, she was recognized as outstanding for her prose category selection as “Little Match Girl”. She qualified for district competition for that, as well as a poetry reading. In poetry, she also qualified for the state competition.
For all of these accomplishments, she was recognized as Twin Cedars’ Speech and Drama Performer of the Year. Ginger said Whitlow has expressed intentions to continue to participate in the performance arts. He added that he is proud of her dedication to the fine arts.
